Woodstock is a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland. It is also an affluent unincorporated community. This city is known for its amazing nightlife, diverse shopping destinations, and foodie options. The Patuxent Ranger who was popular known as Thomas Browne explored westward through the Anne Arundel County through Clarksville. In the year 1702, Thomas finally came to this destination and settled in the area. In the 18th century period, the Brown family as they are called built the MT. Pleasant Log home. During the civil war, which took place a century later, Bradley Tyler Johnson who was a confederate general, stored diverse weaponry, dispatch messages and in addition, he hid from the union troops in the MT. Woodstock has some solid minerals. The city was discovered as a mining destination for granite. The granite house built by Gorman was torn down in the early 1980s to construct a bridge across the Patapsco. This granite house was the birthplace of the prominent Arthur Pue Gorman.
